Who am I and why boat construction?

Even if I now work more in the office nowadays, I originally did an apprenticeship as a craftsman in mechatronics and studied electrical engineering meanwhile. When I moved to Hamburg many years ago, I first learned to sail, then gained my first experience in boat construction by maintaining my first classic wooden sailing dinghy. Eventually, just maintenance alone wasn't enough for me and I wanted to learn more about classic construction techniques. Since I really like the classic look of classic designs, I started construction activities meanwhile under the umbrella of the SZaitz label and I am also happy to exchange ideas with like-minded people.
